Jason West, Research Assistant

Jason West is a policy student at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, where he is pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Development Practice, specializing in Management and Data Analytics and Quantitative Analysis. His academic and professional focuses include health, governance, strategic partnerships, and community development. Beyond the classroom, Jason serves on the Steering Committee for RISE: Working Group on Race, Income, Solidarity, and Economics, sits on the Diversity Committee of SIPA, and organizes initiatives relating to diversity, equity and inclusion within his academic department. Jason is the former Director of Management at United Against Inequities in Disease, where he oversaw organizational development and advised several UAID chapters in establishing strategic partnerships in order to implement community health initiatives. Jason is a graduate of Princeton University, where he was awarded a B.A. in French Language & Politics and a certificate in Global Health Policy. He hails from the town of DeLand, Florida.
