As Marga continues to exchange ideas with Citigroup, various new global partnerships have been emerging through conversations around the world. Recently, Citigroup’s London headquarters connected Marga and the East London Business Alliance. With its Legacy 2020 initiative, the East London Business Alliance has been building a vast network of corporate partners who are collectively aiming to ensure that the 2012 Olympic games in London bring long-lasting community and economic development to East London, one of London’s most historic yet economically challenged areas. Marga will be serving as a U.S. face for Legacy 2020, informing the United States about this critical effort to leverage the kinds of resources that Olympics can bring in a manner that benefits vulnerable populations.
